Good News Breakfast
The Jefferson County Good News Coalition will hold the 29th Annual Good News Breakfast on Tuesday, April 30, 2018, at 6:59 a.m., at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 West 6th Avenue, in Golden. This year’s theme is “Unsung Heroes: Super Heroes Don’t Always Wear Capes” and the keynote speaker is Drew Robertson, president of Mattersville, and the driving force behind the Veterans Community Project: Tiny Houses for Homeless Veterans.
From the 42 nominations received, 10 honorees were chosen by the Selection Committee for recognition at the Good News Breakfast due to the positive impact of their work in the community.
Breakfast will be prepared by the Warren Tech Culinary Arts program and served buffet-style. The Invocation will be given by Eric Smith, Co-Pastor of Arvada United Methodist Church. The Arvada Police Department Honor Guard will present the colors and Lakewood Police Chief Dan McCasky will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The Alameda International Junior/Senior High School Madrigals will perform and Rabbi Tzvi Steinberg will deliver the benediction.
